While the car is presented only in a body 5-doors hatchback – obviously, 3-doors model should wait till October. And, for certain, 3-doors car will receive more aggressive appearance. Though also the 5-door model too has rather interesting design which is made in style new С5 and С3.

If to speak about a business technical aspect, new Citroen C4 became slightly larger than the predecessor. The length of the car has increased by 55 mm, the width became more on 17 mm, and height on 32 mm. As a result the interior became more spacious, and the luggage compartment volume has grown – now it is a question already about 408 l that at once on 82 l more than on old С4.

What engines will put under cowl Citroen C4 of the second generation, yet is not informed. But it is possible to hope that С4 becomes the first model in scale Citroen which will receive the hybrid engine consisting of an electric motor and a diesel engine.

The preview of the C4's next incarnation is out of the cage of with the release of a set of photos showing the less quirky 2011 version.The new compact hatch set to officially launch during the upcoming Paris Salon Show has grown in dimensions and now measures 4,330mm in length (+55mm), 1,790m in width (+17mm) and 1,490mm in height (+32mm). According to the French, the new model offers a boot capacity of 408 liters, or 82 liters more than the current C4.

The French automaker has not yet released details on the powertrain options, but aside from a similar mix of diesel and naturally aspirated / turbocharged petrol units found on the current C4, European buyers should also expect the first application of the PSA Citroen - Peugeot group's e-HDi diesel-electric hybrid system.

The new C4 is expected to go on sale in most European countries after this fall's Paris Motor Show.
